AMA DABLAM: A NEW EXPEDITION FOR OUR 85th ANNIVERSARY!

We are finally ready to depart! Today marks the beginning of the journey celebrating our 85 years in the outdoor footwear industry: an expedition targeting one of Nepal's most beautiful and breathtaking peaks, Mount Ama Dablam. These five-year adventures have now become a tradition: in 2004 we reached the summit of Aconcagua (6,962 m), and in 2009 we attempted the ascent of Mount Baruntse at an altitude of 7,129 m. Today, 5 years later, we are on the verge of setting off for this new experience driven by our shared love and passion for the mountains.

The team chosen to climb Mount Ama Dablam includes four Italian and two Russian names: Marco Zamberlan, Caio Pellizzari, Stelvio Frigo, Michele Barbiero, Vlad Moroz, and Vasily Voloshin. This highly experienced crew will rely on Zamberlan gear to ensure high-level performance, maximum comfort, and uncompromising safety. Indeed, the true highlights of the expedition will be the new KARKA boots—one of the flagship products in our upcoming 2015 collection—which will prove their durability and reliability directly in the field.

The expedition to the 6,814 m summit is scheduled to last approximately one month. During this time, the team will be put to the test by steep terrain and vertical drops. These challenges will highlight the strengths of both the climbers and their equipment, proving the exceptional quality of the gear chosen for this endeavor—tools that have now become vital components for the most extreme journeys and beyond.
