This year, Annalisa Fioretti will attempt to climb Lhotse (8,516m) again, following last year's terrible tragedy that forced the suspension and abandonment of the expedition.
This year's adventure also includes the healthcare project that always distinguishes every single one of her expeditions: the goal is to set up a medical dispensary in Nepal (a public assistance institution providing free, or nearly free, medical treatment for social diseases).
But the project doesn’t stop there: Annalisa also intends to train local staff so that the dispensary can operate continuously and in total autonomy once it is up and running.
To tell the truth, Annalisa wants to attempt a double-header of two 8,000m peaks during this expedition, and she is working as hard as possible to fully complete this itinerary.
We, at Zamberlan, are happy to see her eyes shine while she tells you about her project, and we are proud to be able to support her by contributing to the expedition with our finest boots. Right from the start, we loved Annalisa's idea because it manages to combine her passion for the mountains, extreme expeditions, her medical experience, and her generous soul, making an expedition something more than just overcoming one's limits... it makes it a journey, an adventure...
